An equestrian experience with a difference – enjoy learning the basic principles of carriage driving with this insightful lesson for one. Following a safety briefing, tune in for a demonstration, learning how to harness a pony and put it into the carriage. Benefit from a one-to-one lesson with a trainer learning the basics of driving before putting these new skills to the test, negotiating a course of cones and barriers. After a short coffee break, get out on the back step of a carriage which will be driven by a trainer and pulled by a pair of ponies around the local lanes or in the indoor school. Finish the day meeting the other resident character at the stables, including ponies, donkeys and pigs and leave with new found knowledge of carriage driving.

In a Nutshell
  • Learn carriage driving techniques and how to manoeuvre around a course
  • Experience the thrills of back stepping a carriage driven by an experienced carriage driver
  • Refreshments and a tour of the Chariots of Fire stables
