Our pod faced the back of hotel, so wasn’t much of a view. Service to start was friendly and fairly quick and were very accommodating/found alternatives for allergies. However never returned once served. The sandwiches were stale and bread wasn’t anything special. For the money/experience it was fairly overpriced for afternoon tea.

The venue and staff were great.
We found the sandwiches a bit dry and the jam for the scones tasteless. We asked for different jam, which we got, that was very nice. We didn’t find the food was worth the money we paid. We paid for champagne but we got Prosecco.
Not the best afternoon we have had by far.

The sandwich bread is far too thick and the fillings very skimpy. The scones were the best part but the jam was just a jelly and of poor quality.

This was a gift for my 40th Birthday, I was really looking forward to it after the lockdown and then having to re book due to covid. When we arrived we were shown to our pod, which is looking a little tired, the floor was dirty and vinyl torn. Remnants of old Christmas decorations are still stuck to the walls.
We were greeted with a glass of champagne and then we waited... some time later the waiting staff asked if we wanted tea and brought sandwiches. We had eaten the sandwiches by the time the tea arrived, which was a lot later. The wrong tea was brought in so we waited for more. My gluten free option was ok, only one cake compared to my husbands 7. I was asked if I chose to be gluten free! Definitely not, who would? We eventually got scones, mine were boiling hot from the microwave. We had run out of time to finish our food, so we asked for a doggie bag as they wanted the table back.
We sat in the bar, which was nice and the hotel staff are lovely.
Unfortunately the waiting staff need more training.
I of course told the givers of the gift that it was lovely, as they would have been so upset to hear otherwise.
I hope our feedback goes towards improving this experience as I would not be able to recommend this to others sadly.

A lovely birthday gift from my two boys. Setting was lovely and we had a wonderful sunny day in March so we needed the air-con, but heating was available too. Food was delicious and plentiful and staff were fantastic. A really lovely experience

It was a good experience overall, but nothing special. We only got one pot of tea and the selection was limited (or they didn't provide the information on tea selection). Food was not unlimited, but for us the set they offered was enough. Serving was quite slow.
