Spend a weekend at Britain's first 21st century cave house. The Rockhouse Retreat, hidden within three acres of private woodland on the banks of Honey Brook, was occupied for over 700 years until the last dwellers left in 1962. It was lovingly refurbished in 2015 by current owner Angelo Mastropietro. Carefully designed, it features home comforts such as under floor heating and a unique 'cave oasis' rainforest shower. Sleep in a luxury bedroom complete with king size bed, wood fire and a bottle of red wine. A fully fitted kitchen, entertainment terrace and a fire pit are all included. For an extra fee, opt in for bushcraft activities like leather tanning or pursuits such as yoga. Rockhouse Retreat's unique charm ensures you'll never want to leave.
