
Family Steam Train Trip at Mid Hants Railway in Alresford Hampshire
Overview
Step back in time as you board the carriage of a stunning steam train. Visit Mid Hants Railway ‘Watercress Line’ and enjoy a unique family day out in the Hampshire countryside. Explore each of the four stations, including Medstead and Four Marks, Alresford, Ropley and Alton. The scenic market town of Alresford is the perfect spot for a leisurely stroll. Stop off at The West Country Buffet and savour some delicious cakes or relax in the picnic areas at Alresford and Ropley. Follow the Young Engineer’s Trail, travel on the miniature locomotives or browse the gift shop at Alresford. Children are free to explore the playground at Ropley. The line measures 10 miles long. This ticket offers unlimited travel throughout the day. Hop on and off at any of the four stations adjoining the South Down National Park.

Two adults (aged 17 or over) and two children (aged 5-16). Children under two travel for free and dogs £1 each. Trains and stations are accessible for wheelchair users. Dogs are welcome and free. - Weather

Each train holds approximately 250 passengers. - Other Info
Participants can board and alight unlimited times throughout the day (at a choice of four destinations). There will be no Watercress Line trains operating to or from Alton station until the end of July 2019 due to work being carried out as part of a large highway improvement scheme. There will still be trains running to and from Alresford, Ropley and Medstead & Four Marks.
