Aerobatic Stunt Flying
Choose from multiple experiences
Overview
Aerobatic stunt flying experience days start off on the ground with a comprehensive briefing and chat through any specific requirements with an instructor so that the flight can be tailored to specific requirements (and levels of braveness). Then climb aboard the plane - either a British Slingsby Firefly, a De Havilland Chipmunk or modern light aircraft such as a Cessna. Once airborne, the expert pilot will demonstrate what the craft can do - so hang on tight for an aerobatic sequence including a roll, loop or stall turn. During the flight, take over the controls to experience the sensation of flying a plane first-hand.
- Experience the unrivalled thrill of stunt flying
- Hold on tight for an amazing aerobatic flying sequence
- Loops, rolls and stall turns in mid flight
- Take the controls with the supervision of an instructor
- Availability Description
Some venues operate seven days a week (subject to weather conditions), others a limited availability. Spring to autumn are the most popular times of year. We generally recommend booking several weeks in advance, even earlier for summer weekend dates. - Participant Guidelines
Restrictions for this experience vary according to venue. As a rule, if you weigh over 14 stone or are more than 6' tall, please check your suitability with us prior to booking. - Weather
Aerobatic flying is very weather dependent. It is crucial that you call the venue for a weather check before setting out. If your flight is cancelled because of bad weather you'll be re-booked for an alternative date or time. - Numbers on the Day
Only you and the pilot will be in the plane. The briefing session may be shared. - Dress Code
Wear flat, soft-soled shoes. Any special clothing and headsets will be provided. Bring gloves in cold weather and sunglasses are recommended all year round. - Other Info
We suggest that you only have a very light meal or don't eat at all before your flight (a hearty meal beforehand may make you feel nauseous). Similarly, please don't drink alcohol before you fly - it will make you sick.
